The Business

Cybit is an IT managed services and Data Analytics provider that designs, develops and delivers end-to-end cloud-based IT solutions for UK mid-market customers in order to support digital transformations and enhanced business efficiency. With a cloud-first approach, the company has developed a reputation for providing both service and technical excellence across its chosen markets, including outsourced IT support, complex cloud and hybrid infrastructure services, and delivery of data visualisation and business analytics applications.

In June 2021, the group acquired Cyphra, a specialist cyber security services provider, offering a range of consultancy and security managed services.

In March 2022, Cybit acquired Technique Ltd, a Berkshire based IT Managed Services Provider. The acquisition will allow the Group to establish a foothold in the South of England, to complement the existing operations, giving greater geographical reach, broader market penetration and increased sales momentum across the UK. Furthermore, provides significant cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.

The Deal

Chiltern acquired the business from the founder, Andrew Robson, in 2019. Kelly Simkiss joined in 2021 as Group CEO.

‘I am delighted to join such a great business, backed by a direct and supportive PE house and It’s clear the relationship with Chiltern is a strong one. Cybit’s comprehensive end to end IT solution offering for its customers, providing products and services which are business critical is what attracted me to join. Cybit works with best-in-class partners in each field and employs true technical specialists to meet its customers’ needs in a rapidly growing, and really exciting market. I am really optimistic about what we can achieve together.’

The Plan

Cybit is well-positioned in an expanding market which is supported by strong structural trends towards cloud-based services and the ever growing risk of cyber security. Chiltern is supporting the next stage of the company’s growth through investment in sales and marketing processes, continued shift towards a recurring revenue model and continuing the Buy + Build journey.
