Pixel Acquires Technique Ltd to expand UK reach and broaden IT Managed Services Proposition

Chiltern portfolio business, Pixel Holdco Ltd, the parent company of cloud centric IT services and data specialist Perfect Image, has completed the acquisition of Technique Limited, a Berkshire based IT Managed Services Provider (MSP). The addition of Technique further evidences the Group’s accelerated growth strategy, following the acquisition of cyber security specialist Cyphra in 2021.

The acquisition will allow the group to establish a foothold in the South of England, to complement the existing operations in the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, giving greater geographical reach, broader market penetration and increased sales momentum across the UK. Operating within the Pixel Group’s group strategy, the acquisition will create a specialist MSP focused on providing secure end-to-end IT solutions to mid-market organisations and SMEs across the UK, as well as providing significant cross-sell opportunities.

Greg Baker, the newly appointed General Manager of Technique, will work closely with the founders, who will remain in role and part of the management team to ensure the transaction is smooth and seamless for Technique’s employees, customers and partners.

Kelly Simkiss, Group CEO commented:

“The acquisition of Technique is an ideal fit for our group strategy. The addition will create a powerful proposition to deliver secure, end-to-end IT managed services to mid-market organisations across the UK. We see significant opportunities ahead for organic growth as we take advantage of the cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within each customer base. I see exciting times ahead and I look forward to working with the Technique team.”

Ben Robinson, Investment Manager at Chiltern said:

“We are delighted to have supported the group in the acquisition of Technique, following the success of the Cyphra transaction in 2021. The acquisition continues to build on our strategy of developing a leading provider of IT managed services and data analytics for a mid-market customers base. It’s great to see that vision coming to fruition, creating a truly national player in the IT Managed Services sector.”
