Chiltern supports the management buyout of Strata Products from Berry Global

Chiltern has supported the management buyout of Strata Products (“Strata”), a leading UK manufacturer and distributor of plastic products for home, office and garden markets. Strata was previously a subsidiary of Berry Global Group, Inc. (“Berry Global”), a Fortune 500 developer, manufacturer and distributor of plastic products, across a broad range of markets.

Based in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire, Strata was founded in 1987 and has successfully grown over the last three decades under periods of both private and corporate ownership.

Strata manufactures a range of over 250 fully recyclable plastics products, under a number of brands including Ward, Sankey, Heavy Duty Storage and Smart Storemaster Boxes. Strata offers a full-suite of plastic manufacturing capabilities, including injection, rotational and blow moulding, enabling it to deliver continuous innovation across its product portfolio in order to best serve its global customer base.

The management buyout was led by CEO, Jay Ilsen, and as part of the transaction experienced PE CFO, Ian Hendrie, will join the Board. Management will be supported by the introduction of experienced PE and plastics manufacturing expert, Glen Sabin, as Non-Executive Chair.
